JSA are pleased to announce that we have become the UK agents for Overaasen snow removal equipment on airfields. Having reviewed the Companies long Airfield experience and Stein Erik Pettersen (Overaasen Key Account Manager) contacted JSA to discuss the option of the Company becoming the sole UK agent carrying out sales, service support, training and parts distribution to airports across the UK. Both John Straka (MD) and Rob Tucker (JSA Agricultural Manager) then visited the factory in Gjovic, Norway to meet the Managing Director Thor Overaasen, view the factory production line and service support teams as well as meet other key staff members.
Formed in 1908, this family business Company philosophy has been ‘we shall use resources exclusively for the design and development of snow clearing equipment’ and today they are market leaders in this niche market. Customers have high demands to quality, performance, reliability, efficiency and ease of service to their equipment – the only was to guarantee safe winter operations at airports, railways and road networks.
The range of products varies from simple snow ploughs to the biggest most advanced snow clearing equipment. In 2013 they delivered the worlds largest snow blower to Oslo Airport – a mega blower of more than 2200hp.
Over the coming months, JSA will ascertain the UK market and be contacting Airports to understand the type of machinery required, service and training levels along with the range of spares required to be stocked in the UK. In addition, early in 2020 we will be sending selected members of staff back to Norway to undergo specialised service Engineer training.
