About JS Agriculture

JS Agriculture have been carrying out contractual grounds maintenance and agricultural contracting in the south east of England for over twenty five years and now covers the whole of the UK.

Formed in 1980, The company started life carrying out grounds maintenance for the private client and, within a couple of years, were asked to carry out works for its first major company, British Gas Transco. Over the course of time, JS Agriculture realised that it had to specialise and could no longer afford to stay on the same plane that it was currently running. It did this by emphasising the work that it did to large, blue-chip companies and by specialising in using its machinery for agricultural operations on other associated work. Massive investment in machinery, equipment and training took the company to the next level and launched us into the twenty first century.

Currently, the nature of our work spans a wide range of land based husbandry services and includes specialist operations in conservation areas. JS Agriculture is one of the only approved specialist contractors for operating agricultural and landscape machinery airside in the UK as one of BAA’S subcontractors. We currently, therefore, carry out grass cutting, selective and total weed control and grounds maintenance operations around runways and taxiways at Heathrow, Gatwick and Southampton airports. With the inclusion of several MOD airfields, it brings the total area worked to over 4800 Hectares on airside alone.

JS Agriculture prides itself on one major achievement - over the course of time, we have not had to advertise for any work. All of our clients have approached us to carry out work for them. Since word of mouth is the best form of advertising, we must be doing something right!
